Every day now I see another story of alleged vote fraud, of the GOP overtly conspiring to deprive their very own front of the party’s nomination, and of the DNC blatantly stacking their “superdelegates” so that Clinton will easily win over Sanders. Out of all this, I see–more than I could have ever imagined–just how corrupt the American political machine is. When a Republican party official can say on national television that they pick the candidate, not the voters, what voice does a nation or its people have? For whatever one might think of Donald Trump, it is his presence in this campaign that has forced the revelation of this corruption to the surface. All the political world, both Democrat and Republican parties, have united in stopping Donald Trump. Just today it was announced that Colorado would have no caucus, and that all their delegates would go automatically to Trump’s opponent Ted Cruz. What did the GOP tweet about this? “We did it.” They did it. The successfully stole any potential delegates from their own leading candidate and the opportunity to vote for him or anybody else from Republican voters in Colorado. They changed the electoral process in Colorado to something more likely seen in the Soviet Union. The depth of the party’s mendacity is breathtaking.
This nation is adrift; we have no rudder. We cast off God decades ago, and it seems the time to pay the bill may be at hand. I’ve been reading a lot lately about the collapse of societies and civilizations–particularly of the fall of Rome and the medieval darkness that fell on Europe for a millennium afterwards. Amid the ruins of the Roman civitas, tribal chiefs and feudal lords arose to fill the vacuum, and over all arched the umbrella of the church, such as it was. Corrupt and apostate, still it did provide some unifying force throughout Europe. It could exert great control over leaders and their people simply by the threat of excommunication. Many people in America have likened our future to that of the Roman collapse, but I respectfully disagree; our collapse won’t be as gentle. America, if/when it fails, will not collapse like Rome. It will not die and fall down where others can come in, pick up the pieces, and carry on. America will fly apart. It will explode, and the pieces will take a very long time to collect, if indeed they ever are. Look at the state of American society. Even before any collapse has begun, it is fragmented nearly to death. Only the overbearing, and increasingly bloated, ineffectual, corrupt, and hated federal government holds the thing together. When the threat of punishment no longer has any terror–and that’s all the Federal government really contributes anymore–the centrifugal force of cultural revolution and cultural Marxism will fly us apart. We are a supremely immoral, conscienceless, and brutal people. Remove the referees, and the nation will be at each others’ throats. The stage is already set. Only an unmerited act of divine mercy can save us. Whether one will come, I cannot say.
I see some hope, but I am just another person, and I make a lot of mistakes and misjudgments. I see hope in the universal, overt fury directed at Donald Trump. Every facet of the world system hates him. They hate him so much they have willingly cast aside their facade to attack him. We see now what many have long suspected; the two-party system in America is a sham. There is one party with two faces, a living, breathing Hegelian dialectic. This gives me hope that Donald Trump is the real deal. I see these attacks and the blatant vote fraud carried out, by the Republicans no less, and I wonder how he can ever survive and overcome, and actually ascend to the Presidency. I then wonder, what if it is just another deception, and he too will send us to our destruction?
What a unique time it is in which we live. There is literally no one or nothing upon which we can pin our hopes. Our very world is coming apart. Today I read a series of articles from people not particularly given to spasms of Chicken Little-ing and who are reasonably rational, in which they project we have nine months until the collapse–January 2017. I presume they mean around the time when the Presidential inauguration happens (or is supposed to happen). The things they suggest one does to prepare, I cannot do, and the collapse they predict is vicious, a societal detonation of the worst kind. Regardless of what comes, we have this hope:
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I [Jesus] have overcome the world. John 16:33 KJV
For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many. And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. Matthew 24:5-14 KJV
I think we’re there. I also believe that if we believers actually put down our iPhones for a few minutes and seek wisdom from God, he will direct us and empower us, not necessarily to survive the times ahead, although that is what I pray, but to overcome them, and in the process make some difference in something that is eternal. It’s time to begin disconnecting ourselves from this world system, to stop listening to their trash and lies. This is the end. Surely, if you have any notion of God, any concept of what it is to be a Christian, you must sense it. The time to choose whom we will serve is upon us.
God forbid that we should forsake the LORD, to serve other gods. Joshua 24:15
