Of Old Men’s Dreams

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;

And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:   (Acts 2:16-17 KJV).

I am ever reluctant to step across the line from being a person reporting interesting current events in relation to prophecy, to being somebody offering highly subjective experiences and thoughts that may have nothing to do with bible prophecy. I see them all the time on the internet–well-meaning Christians who believe they have heard from God about coming events. There are all kind of prophecies out there, many of them warning of imminent judgment dangling from the hand of God over America. Some of them have a frightening ring of authenticity to them, and many seem to contradict others. Only time will tell which, if any, are correct (and truly from God).

Here’s my problem. I too feel that I may have heard from God through some dreams I’ve had over the past few years. Actually, I had three in the past few weeks.  A fourth dream I’m including after the recent three, I had shortly after the election of Barak Obama in 2008. While at the time I thought the dream was significant, only after the recent dreams, and passing of seven years under the Obama regime, have I come to believe it might have been from God. I will detail them all now and in posts to follow immediately after this post. God willing, It won’t be four months between posts, as it has been for this one.

First, I will tell you of the most recent dream, because I feel it might be a warning of a deceptive tactic that a certain presidential candidate is about to employ on Christians in America, just to win their votes and support. I will also give you the meaning of the dream as I understood it immediately after I dreamed it, but I leave it with you for your own analysis.

I dreamed that I was in a foot race, like a marathon. I was running along a broad, dirt path lined by sparse forest.  As I ran, I passed another competitor, who I recognized as Hillary Clinton. Here the path took a gentle dip down, and near the bottom of the dip I passed a second competitor, who I recognized as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. In case you don’t know who that is, she is the chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC). When I passed Wasserman-Schultz, I felt an urgent need to stay as far ahead of them as possible; I could not let them catch up and pass me.

I maintained a good lead over both Clinton and Wasserman-Schultz, until the marathon course entered the sanctuary of an old-style church, closely resembling the church I attended through my childhood. The course passed from front to back of the church down a narrow aisle between the pews and the outside wall. Here there was only room on the path for one person with a little extra space, and here, Hillary Clinton caught up to me.

At this point, I entered into a conversation with Hillary Clinton, even as we both tried to maneuver down the narrow aisle. She was still behind me, but right behind me, and if I let her, she could crowd me out between the pews and pass me. Although in the dream, Ms. Clinton looked like she does in reality, I began to speak to her as if she were the wife of one of the former pastors of my childhood church. I can’t exactly recall, but I believe I asked her what year she and her husband “Pastor Smith” (I have changed the name here) first came to the church. Ms. Clinton is acting as if she is the pastor’s wife and answering my questions. The whole, brief conversation is congenial, yet I somehow know that I am trying to ascribe attributes to Hillary Clinton that she does not possess–almost as if I am imposing some wishful thinking that she is really a godly person. While this is happening, Wasserman-Schultz is right on Clinton’s heels. Here the dream ends.

You did run well; who did hinder you that you should not obey the truth?
(Galatians 5:7 AKJV)

When I remembered this dream upon awaking, I almost immediately understood that it had meaning. The appearance of such a nominal character as Debbie Wasserman-Schultz reinforced my belief that this was a dream sent by the Holy Spirit, and it is this dream that has caused me to feel that I must report all of these dreams here, to the handful of people who read this little blog.

I believe the dream means this: American Christians have in their power (of their vote and of prayer) to keep Hillary Clinton out of the White House in 2016. However, there is a plot or a tactic, formally organized and promulgated by the Democratic National Committee, to recast Hillary Clinton as a good old-fashioned Bible-belt Christian (as ridiculous as that sounds). I don’t believe for one second that many Christians would ever believe that, but this is the end times, and it seems that we are awash in powerful delusions, so who knows. I do believe, however, that it could deceive or confound enough Christians that they either vote for her, or don’t vote for her opponent, or become lax in prayer about this election. I also believe that a Clinton victory in 2016 will spell disaster for the United States of America. As it stands now, considering the mendacious kakistocracy that is currently in power, a Hillary Clinton victory is a real danger.

The symbolism in the dream leads me to believe that American Christians can lose this country to four or, God-forbid, eight years of godless Clinton National Socialism, but we have the power to stop it. It was in the aisles of the American church where Clinton closed the rather significant deficit she had in the race. Why? Because people in the church played nice and civil, and entertained the audacious lie that she is some kind of old-school, deep South, fried chicken, church picnic Christian, when she is nothing of the sort. If anything, she is an enemy of the American church.

I can only speculate, but I believe that passing Wasserman-Schultz in the low spot of the path might mean that the DNC employs this scheme at a point where Clinton is tanking in the polls against the Republican candidate. Or it could mean that the DNC will play dirty and use “low” tactics (although it hardly takes divine revelation to see that). What is clear is that the battle–the race–can be lost by the church if it is not wide awake and alert for this deception. We as Christians cannot afford to give the Obama-Clinton junta anymore power or influence. We cannot toy with these people, and we should not endorse them, entertain their lies, or apathetically ignore their schemes. They are not our friends, and they can unleash hell on this nation unless the church ignores the distractions and presses on toward the goal.

Lest you think this is just about who gets to sit in the ivory tower at 1600 Pennsylvania for the next four or eight years, let me assure you it is not. America is at a spiritual crossroads. God would rather we repent and turn back to Him instead of continuing on this path until He must judge this nation. A Clinton victory in 2016 virtually assures the judgment of God on America. In fact, I’m not so sure that her election wouldn’t be the first act of judgment upon America.  God can send us a King Cyrus, or he can send us an Emperor Nero. Who he sends depends upon the American church.

More posts will follow shortly concerning the other dreams I believe were sent by God. Until then, stay awake and alert. Now is not the time to doze.

As always, I welcome any feedback about this, or any other subject discussed here.

Rumors of Wars

I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.  — Joel 2:30-31 NIV

Anybody who keeps an eye on current events (as any prophecy-minded Christian should) has seen a mind-boggling confluence of weird, unusual, and or scary events transpiring over the course of the past few days.

There has already been much ballyhoo over “blood moons” and “tetrads”, and indeed these aren’t to be dismissed lightly.  Today (March 20, 2015) there will be a total solar eclipse in the northern hemisphere which will be visible at the north pole. Supposedly, this is a rather rare occurrence, and it is the eclipse embedded within the latest “blood moon tetrad.” No sense in reinventing the wheel here, so do an internet search on “blood moons” and “tetrad” and you’ll undoubtedly find plenty on it.

Today also marks the Spring equinox at 5:45pm CDT. This week also saw geomagnetic storms and aurora displays resulting from solar storms. The impending solar eclipse is also during a so-called “super moon” during which a full or new moon is at perigee (closest to earth). Since this is a new moon, it will not be visible, but will cause a total solar eclipse rather than an annular one. Surely, the period around this significant solar eclipse is one in which the skies are alight with strange signs.

Something that went absolutely unnoticed in the media is the fact that for the first time since September 11, 2001, the United States Central Command elevated the nation’s defense condition (DEFCON) to DEFCON 3. It was initially elevated to DEFCON 4 in response to massive drills by the Russian military. DEFCON 3 came about later (on March 16) when apparently Russian aircraft made incursions into US airspace. There were hints of possible hostilities and a US base on alert due to “possible incoming” (attack). For more information, I refer you to DEFCON Warning System’s Twitter feed. Scroll down to March 15, 2015 and read up through March 17, 2015. There you will see that, regardless of the silence in the news, something significant–possibly World War III significant–was unfolding in the Arctic between US and Russian military forces. By God’s grace, it deescalated, but this shows how very much on the brink we live, and how dangerous the times are. The peril didn’t end with the Cold War.

You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. — Matthew 24:6-9
